Most Important Things We Went Over This Week

  • Wearing clothes (입고 있다); hat/glasses (쓰고 있다); necktie (매고/하고 있다); things on hands (끼고 있다); accessories (하고 있다); watches (차고 있다); bags (들고/메고 있다); shoes (신고 있다); take off (벗다)
  • Passive verbs “ing” = 열리다; 닫히다; 켜지다; 꺼지다; 떨어지다; 놓이다 (don’t require direct object)
  • ~고 있다 vs. ~아/어 있다 (1st = action in progress; 2nd = continuing state of completed action)
  • A-아/어지다 vs. V-게 되다 (both mean “become/turn”)
  • ~(으)ㄴ/는지 requires additional info (W6 questions + clause) – used with thinking/questioning verbs
  • ~는 데 걸리다 = for time; ~는 데 들다 = for money
  • ~지요? = ~죠? (Right?)
  • ~군요 vs. ~네요 (1st = written/direct experience or hearing about; 2nd = spoken/can’t be used if not experienced)
  • A-(으)ㄴ가요? V-나요? = gentle/polite questions
  • A/V-(으)ㄴ/는데요 = my experience is in opposition to yours

Things that Need More Conversation Practice

  • Describe many different people wearing different outfits
  • ~고 있다 vs. ~아/어 있다
  • A-아/어지다 vs. V-게 되다
  • Talk about how much time/money something takes
  • Use ~지요?; ~군요; ~네요 in conversation
  • Speak about your differing viewpoints with A/V-(으)ㄴ/는데요

  • All the various clothing and wearing verbs
  • ~고 있다 vs. ~아/어 있다 (What passive verbs can be used with 2nd?)
  • A-아/어지다 vs. V-게 되다
