Practice Korean Reading with Comics

One of the ways I’ve begun enjoying practicing Korean reading more these days is by reading my son’s comic books with him.

One of the most fun things to do it to read the Korean sound effects (onomatopoeia) in such a way that the sounds I make with my mouth sound like the actions that are supposed to be happening in the story. This is especially fun with some of his Pokemon or Transformers-style comics that include laser blasts and the like.

We have a previous post on Key To Korean that talks about using the Naver Webtoons app to do just that:

Learn Korean onomatopoeia and improve your reading skills with Naver Webtoons

Well, now you can have the opportunity to score your own authentic Korean comic book (190 pages)!

Our third Giveaway of 2019 is for a Korean comic book that includes 9 familiar fairy tales. (And what better way to practice Korean reading than with stories you’re already familiar with?)

So, why not enter our Giveaway for this cool (190-page) comic book? It’s a great way to practice your Korean reading and have fun while doing so!

But even if you don’t win this time, remember:

  1. We’re running a contest every week in 2019, so you have plenty more chances to win something else cool
  2. You can still use the Naver Webtoons website or app to read Korean comics and learn onomatopoeia. (But the main advantage of this book will be your familiarity with the stories.)
